Please have your child read out loud to someone for at least 20 minutes, 5 nights a week!  It makes a big difference in their reading and fluency skills!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me!  I am enjoying each one and we are getting into the “groove” of school and learning the 2^nd Grade curriculum. 

 

Learning Targets for September:

·      Reading/Language Arts:  CKLA Unit 1 – Review of vowel and consonant spellings

 

·      Math:  Chapter 1—Number Concepts/Place Value/Expanded Form/Odd and Even/Counting Patterns Within 1000

 

·      Science & Social Studies:  Fairy Tales & Tall Tales

 

·      Spelling:  Review of short and long vowel sounds
