Mrs. Wood’s August Class News

I am so excited to have your child in my class!  We will have an exciting year full of learning and fun!  Please remember to send your child to school with a mask that is labeled and the school folder they took home from our Back To School Open House.  I can't wait to see their creative monsters they made!  Thank you for getting the supplies that were on the beginning of year letter as well.  You are awesome!

 Please have your child read out loud to someone for at least 20 minutes, 5 nights a week!  It makes a big difference in their reading and fluency skills!

·      Reading/Language Arts:  CKLA Unit 1 – REVIEW: Letter-Sound Correspondences/Reading Skills/Story Comprehension

 

·      Math:  Chapter 1—Number Sense & Place Value

 

·      Social Studies:  Fairy Tales & Tall Tales

 

·      Spelling:  REVIEW of short and long vowel sounds
