Monday, October 19^th: Harvest Break

 

October 26^th-October 30^th—Red Ribbon Week

·      Monday: Hand out masks and pledges

·      Tuesday: Wear crazy socks and/or mismatched clothes

·      Wednesday: Crazy hair day

·      Thursday: Wear a sports jersey or SUU shirt

·      Friday: Wear your Halloween costume

 

Friday, October 30^th:  Classroom Halloween Party

 

 

Special Classes Schedule

·      Mondays—PE & Music

·      Tuesdays—Art

·      Thursday—Science (2^nd & 4^th Weeks)

·      Friday—Library & PE

 

 

Please have your child read out loud to someone for at least 20 minutes, 5 nights a week!  It makes a big difference in their reading and fluency skills!

Thank you for your continued support at home!  I appreciate all you do to help with your child's education!

Learning Targets for October:

·      Reading/Language Arts:  CKLA Unit 1 – Punctuation of sentences.  Narrative writing.

 

·      Math:  Chapter 2—Numbers to 1,000.  Comparing numbers, counting on & counting back by 10 and 100.

 

·      Science & Social Studies:  Early Asian Civilizations

 

·      Spelling: suffix endings, “r” controlled vowels
